Pricing FAQ
Why does quik.space not offer permanent storage?
Permanent storage is the opposite of what we are. The product is disposable file sharing. We do not want to compete with Dropbox or Google Drive for keep-forever. Instead, every file has a death date by default. If you need long-term storage, use a long-term storage product.
What happens after 72 hours?
The file enters a 7-day grace period. During grace the share link shows a recover prompt — pay $2 and the file is yours again for another 30 days. After grace ends, the storage is permanently purged and cannot be recovered.
Can I get a refund?
Payments are one-shot and small (most are under $5). Because storage costs accrue the moment you upload, we do not offer refunds for paid uploads or paid extends. If you were charged in error, email hello@quik.space and we will sort it out.
Do paid features renew automatically?
No. quik.space does not have subscriptions. Every payment is a one-shot purchase. Extends and spaces can be renewed by paying again — there is no auto-renew, no stored card, no monthly bill.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. The prices on this page are final. There is no markup for downloads, no per-share fee, no bandwidth charge.
What is the passcode lock for?
It pairs a 10-character code with your share link. The link alone is useless without the code. The most common use is grabbing a file on a borrowed computer (a library kiosk, a friend's laptop, an internet cafe) without logging into Google or Dropbox in public. Files in this tier expire in 7 days instead of 72 hours.
Can I recover the passcode if I lose it?
No. We store only a one-way hash. If you lose both the code and the email we sent it in, the file is unrecoverable. That is the point.
