Do I need to sign up?

No. Anonymous use is the default. You can optionally attach your email so you can recover files later if you lose the share link.

How long do files last?

Free files expire in 72 hours. After that there is a 7-day grace period during which a $2 extend will bring the file back for 30 more days. After the grace period the storage is permanently purged.

Can AI agents use quik.space?

Yes. quik.space exposes an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server and accepts the x402 standard for stablecoin micropayments on Base. Agents do not need API keys or signup — their wallet is their identity.

Not by default. The product is disposable file sharing — every link has a death date so we don't end up with petabytes of forgotten files. But you can extend any link by 30 days for $2, renewable indefinitely, which is functionally permanent if you keep paying. The honest answer: if you need 'set it and forget it' permanent storage, use MEGA, pCloud, or Internxt. If you want a link that's alive for a few months while a project is active, extend on quik.space.

Pay $2 to extend by 30 days. Set a calendar reminder, pay again. At $2/month you can keep a single link alive for the entire year for $24, less than most cloud storage subscriptions. The trade is the manual step — there's no auto-renewal because there's no stored card.
